Bijou Cottage is in the quirky & charismatic town of Deal, on the coast of Kent with an unspoiled seafront. On a clear day you can see neighbouring France (accessible by ferry or the channel tunnel via Dover) so a perfect stopover via Europe. Deal's location is also an easy getaway from London with excellant road and rail connections to the capital.

Deal has plenty of history since the arrival of Julius Caesar and castles in the surrounding area offer free entrance for English Heritage members. The town's annual events include the Deal Music & Arts Festival, Deal Carnival and the Deal Food & Drink Festival to name a few. The beach path streches to both Sandwich Bay in one direction and St Margaret's Bay in the other for keen walkers and cyclists. There are 3 Castles and 4 Golf Courses (including Prince's Golf Club which hosted The Golf Open 2021).

Bars, restaurants, galleries & boutique shops are plentiful and are all within walking distance to Bijou Cottage.  

Deal Train Station is a only a 5 minute walk and Deal Beach (& Castle) are a 2 minute walk away. Deal Pier is an easy stroll along the seafront and there is a taxi and bus service available if you wish to venture further afield to either historic Sandwich or Canterbury. 

The space

Bijou Cottage was built in the 1800's and is small but perfectly formed. Newly refurbished it's in a convenient location in Deal, Kent and is walking distance to the shops, conservation area, train station and beach.  A perfect property for couples, small families and fur babies.
